Gord has held senior leadership roles in the hospitality sector including established private clubs, golf resorts and retirement communities and start-ups. He is a professionally Certified ICF Coach, Educator and Mentor serving the business community with a focus on international students and new entrepreneurs looking to advance their businesses and professional skills. He describes himself as a 'life long learner'.
Gord currently works an instructor at a junior college in Delta, BC where he teaches 'hospitality and communications' to international students, now online. He consults through his practise, Sarkoach Canada Ltd.
Gord often begins his day by riding his bike down to the Oceanside trails in the early morning hours. He loves coaching competitive hockey and baseball. Gord enjoys spending his time with his 17 year old son Sam, and his amazing daughter Shilah, who has just recently returned to Canada from the US.
Gord came well prepared with a short but poignant presentation that he was even happy to share! We did a simulation of a work situation and it was great to just fully immerse yourself into it. It was a really fun and inspiring lesson and I can see why Gord coaches this!
