How much does it cost to share my story?

The beta version is completely free. There will always be a free version of the platform, at the very least, to share your story.

Many people have tried what is called a Massive Open Online Class or a webinar with many people in attendance and didn’t get the targeted attention they wanted and instead were left with questions unanswered.
 
sĀge offers smaller social and learning experiences for people who really want to learn, in a very targeted and personalized way, from YOUR years of experience.

Where do chats take place?

Chats take place online, using Zoom, a Video Communications platform so you can see and hear each other and even share your screen. A unique Zoom link is generated once a chat is booked. and you can click on the link at the scheduled time and start the session. Clicking on the link with launch Zoom and take you through the next steps. You don’t need to install Zoom as there is also a web browser version available.

What is the difference between a chat and a group booking?

Chats are informal and can be with 1 - 4 people. After the first chat, you can both opt to continue for a second chat. A group booking is more formal e.g. with a school or a youth group.

No worries! We aim to make it as easy as possible but some life stories are just a bit more convoluted or hard to summarize. Please contact us (javascript:void(0))and someone from the sAge team will be in touch to set up a call and brainstorm together with you.

Can I make any money of my chats or group bookings?

Our aim is to create a gig economy for retirees where SaaS stands for (stories-as-a-service). We are not there yet. For now, people can opt to leave a tip at the end of a chat with you. Tips are not compulsory so we encourage you not to mention it. You keep 100% of your tips.

If I do make money, how do payouts take place?"

At the end of each month, we will send payments through Paypal. You will need an account for this, and we can walk you through setting it up if needed. You can easily link your PayPal account to your local bank account.
 
We also offer the option of donating your earnings to a list of charities oriented towards community growth. Please contact us i(javascript:void(0))f you'd like us to add your local charity to our list.

How do I start?

First, you register with your email address and basic information. Once you confirm the email address, you will be sent to a form that helps curate your major life experiences onto a simple, digital timeline.

Do I get a reminder before a chat?

Yes. You will get a reminder emails one week and one day before your chat. The email will include the name of the participant/s, what they hope to get out of this chat (if specified) and a Zoom link for each chat.

Can I join if I am not technically savvy?

Of course. We offer complimentary Training once per month. This covers both technical onboarding and some helpful tips for group bookings. It is also a great opportunity to meet other people!

The gig economy is based on flexible, temporary, or freelance jobs, often involving connecting through an online platform. The gig economy makes work more adaptable to the needs of the moment and demand for flexible lifestyles, especially in retirement.
